Shooting in a stressed interviews and clients environment I like a big rig with a bunch of power and multiple options for sound, but out shooting pickups, especially on sticks, why not strip it all back?
This is my Sony FS100 Leightweight rig for shooting pickup shots.
I can power the SmallHD from Canon batteries, something I would not usually trust, I dont need my Lav receiver onboard and I wont be shooting from the shoulder, becuase I dont need an eyeline like I do in a handheld interview situation.
This makes life very simple
So my stripdown rig – it goes straight to my Miller Solo Tripod and a single Medium Bone securely, very securely, holds my Monitor and a short boom for the mic
If only it was always this simple
